FINALLY
After so many years of procrastinating… finally, I can afford to do this…
Last week, I’ve got four teeth extracted… the bleeding didn’t stop for the entire day…and got my braces done on the same day…
I talked to some friends whom I can trust, some says its nuts to extract four teeth and do braces on the same day. Some says just do it at one go, you won’t feel that pain later..
I couldn’t decide until last week. My girls were there with me, namely Cindy and Ruby, the very supportive and talkative girlfriends. They were like “just do it, you can, we are here.” My mind was totally BLANK at that moment. ugrh.
this is what i’ve been having for the past WHOLE week…blehh, i’m thankful for being able to eat at least. : ))
Until my dentist numbed my mouth with several injections, I couldn’t take the second last injection. It was too pain, I can’t help but to cry. My girls were like making lots of noises at the corner, just to get me into their conversation. Haha. And next thing I know, my four teeth was on the tray. Fixed my braces again and there you go, done!
It was rather quick… only the injection part was the hardest part to deal with. urgh.
I’m going to visit dentist tomorrow. thinking about it makes me wanna cry already.

i had braces before i knw how it felt like. esp the injection for the upper teeth extraction. it was painfullllllllllllll T___T bt i didnt cry la. i had 2 injections to get 1 upper tooth extracted. u’re really daring to get the last tooth extracted and braces done on the same day. cos it took me 2 weeks to get all my 4 teeth extracted and the 3rd week to fix my braces.

dear th, yeah, i was told to do the same like you, extract 2 in week one, another two in week two, and in week three only do braces.
but hell, my doctor was friggin quick, he did everything at one go, only took him about an hr plus, minus me being naughty screaming like an old nanny.. hhahaa!!
so, hows ur teeth now? everything’s good? do u still wear retainer?

my dentist let me choose. he told me there was a guy who extracted 2 teeth on the same appointment. FHL. hahaha why the rush. i took it easy bt it was awful having holes between my teeth. and i rmb i couldnt pronounce F word like fish. both my bf and frens made fun of me. the worst part was when i went back for my retainer with my bf, my dentist purposely showed him my teeth(the clay thgy that has been hardened? i think u got it too on the 1st appointment) b4 i had braces. it was really horrible T______T and then my bf laughed at me in the dentist room as hard as he could.
my teeth now are erm.. abit crooked
bcs i didnt wear my retainer 24hrs for first 3 mths. and i wore for 1 yr only (at night). i stopped wearing for almost 1 mth then i tried to wear again bt it didnt fix anymore. my retainer is the transparent type that encloses ur entire teeth. its so troublesome bt now i regret not wearing so muchhhh bt i aint re-doing braces again. the teeth really shift very very fast once the braces are removed. so next time rmb dun neglect ur duty of wearing retainer else u’ll regret like me. i also nvr went for the 6mths’ checkup after the removal of my braces. im bad hahaha

oh, i dont have clay thingy. omg. u shud wear retainer or at least get a new retainer like what my friend did.
she paid quite a huge amount of $ to get it and she was in pain, the gap closed a bit now. she has to wear it 24/7 for a month. she was like you, neglected the bloody retainer. ouch, thinking about it makes me feel even restless! hahaha.
dont say you’re bad, just go for check up and your dentist will know what to do right! haha…best of luck, babe.

aiya its no use now. i took my braces off in jan 08. stopped wearing retainer since beginning of 09
dont think abt it yet. lol i tell u time flies without u realising. by the time u know it, u can have ur braces taken off
my dentist will kill me if i go see him again hahaha cos he kinda experimented on me to cabut the top teeth whch are supposedly very important but mine was really big and ugly so he gave it a try and the result was good. but now my top teeth’s nt so straight anymore hehehe i dont want to go see him la.later he T____T after his hard work. lol
th is my initial. i thought the blogger can see the commentator’s email add? no? otherwise my bf calls me baka or fatty(though im 43kg =.=”). some of my frens call me baka too(thanks to my bf =.=”). i think im kinda used to weird names.

hey eri, i’m getting my two upper teeth extracted later in july! and i am..extremely nervous. especially reading all the comments saying how the injections KILL!? T_T haha so how much would you rate the pain?

alright, actually i’ve got 4 injections, one at the upper right, one at the upper left, one bottom left and one bottom right.
the first two injection was alright, not until the third ones, which is at my upper left.. it was extremely painful and i’d almost gone crazy. my upper left gum was abit sensitive, so maybe thats why its more painful. right after the injection, i doubt u’d feel anything. its just two seconds i think.
dont worry, two teeth is nothing compared to mine, four :’(

i’m getting the extractions done separately end of july and braces in august! just getting the pre-braces nerves right now.
