Land of Sunshine #3

Tuesday, November 20th, 2012

so, the following day we took this stupid speedboat to Phra Nang Island (in case you don’t know, this beach is also known as cock island, i’ll explain on this later.)

we bought our speedboat tickets at the counter nearby our hotel.

and this is how our boat look like from far…

and nearer view…

right before our journey began, there was a tiny spider paid a visit to Cindy’s ear. She was frustrated and annoyed with how the heck the spider got into her left ear. lol…

We could see lots of jellies swimming in the ocean around our boat. I was afraid in the beginning, but I couldn’t be bother later on. If anything that’s going to happen to us, we’ll just get biten/poisoned and die there. lol. I don’t fancy this boat that we’re traveling with. It made me sick, urgh.

I was speechless all day, to be able to view this with my naked eyes.

and not forgetting the candies!!!!

I really like this delicious freedom to stroll on a beach with close friends..

A friend told me that people come all the way here to pray for a ‘right’ partner and I must visit this Island if I ever come to Krabi. Note the word, must. So, this is why people named this Island as Cock Island, in hope of finding a ‘right’ cock / true love (?). I don’t know how true this is; as you can see there are lots of them in the picture, I was amazed and at the same time, puzzled. So anyway, we just got down our knees and pray, for everything. lol.

create fertility…. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

then, we walked further into the cave…

crawled in and this is what I see…

nothing fancy but it was really quiet… and I like it.

and I came out afterward to bid farewell with the cave.

sweet couple

Kim, the biker came and make friends with us on the beach. We had a great chat and decided to swim across the opposite island. Random, yes, very. lol.

the experience to swim across the island was crazy. No, i don’t know how to swim, but we tip-toed to the opposite island >_> ….

here’s a picture of me trying to jump after we got back to the main island. failed.

and then we headed to Railey Beach later on to have late lunch……

This island is much better than Phi Phi Island, IMO. till we meet again, Phra Nang.

-

At night, Charlene and I went to the Krabi night market while Cindy decided to do Thai Massage.

here’s my naked face in the bus.

got ourselves inked with a temp. tattoo because we’re too chicken to do the real thing. lol.

me stoning.

h o p e

people mountain people sea.

tried this two weird stuffs.. and I don’t wanna know what the heck is these two. gross max.

our was last dinner in Krabi.

-

security checked. safe. time to go home. lol.

-

The trip was fun, adventurous, and I get to learned much about my girls and myself. Now I know their weaknesses. lol. I can’t wait to travel w/ Cindy n’ Charlene again.

weekendtrip x july

Monday, July 23rd, 2012

Just got back from Cameron Highlands. It was our first time to Bharat Tea Plantations and also, our first time walking into the tea farm!! Actually I wanted to walk further down to capture some more photos but suddenly the rain comes X__x While waiting for the rain to settle down, we had a cup of hot tea in the coffee shop nearby the farm. It’s really chilly up there. : ))

Spectacular view, I must say. Ah, although the journey was long and windy (I have Carsickness. God bless to the guy who created this motion-sickness pill) but I have never regretted of saying yes to this weekend trip, and…

we bought them home : ))

will post more photos of this trip soon.

Back on 30th June from Krabi, Thailand w/ my girls and immediately I got fever and flu. yeah, I know who I should put the blame on, ha, myself for staying too long under the sun and not drinking enough of water. Feeling much better today =D

and oh, I have yet to transfer all my pictures to my PC but I managed to come out with a short video-log of us during our stay in Krabi – no hidden message or direct message to anyone. it’s solely for me to enjoy this video just in case lah, if one day I get diagnosed with Alzheimer’s wtf. Watch it if you’re interested ;)

btw, it’s July already and it’s the month of Love! So far, so good. I’m not sure what’s going to happen in the second half of 2012, but I’m pretty sure about this -> “it’s all about finding a balance, and being in the moment.” – I guess I will live with this quote for now.

Krabi trip made me think a lot, like h e l l a lot more. It made me grow in a good way; that’s why I love to travel. Every time I go somewhere else and come back to town, I feel like I have equipped myself with some new way of thinking or seeing things in life, which I can’t find the right words to make you understand what is actually going on inside me. Wait, I hope I didn’t sound like a psycho here. *_* Aha.

Come back for pictures. I posted some photos @ my Instagram. Peep them if you have time.

A Past Revisited? or You accidentally looked back? Sometimes, we don’t even know it. And there are times, I found myself bored with the questions and the answers. I don’t know whether that is a good or bad sign. Not to say, I don’t care about what was it or what’s going to be. “Let nature take its course.” – I think many people overlook at this quote, simple yet meaningful. :)

I remember the first time I went to Malacca was 5 years++ ago. my 2nd visit – January with my family and my 3rd visit – 2 months ago with my girlfriends. It was very different for my 3rd visit. Probably because I was in ‘my zone’ almost all the time when my girls are around.. you know that kind of feeling when you are with your girlfriends, you tend to let loose. I don’t mean I’m not being myself in front of my family, just that there are certain things you don’t want them to know or in another case, worry about. This place brought me a lot of memories. THEN: I remember I got angry at you when we got lost on the road. NOW: It’s alright if we lost our way, we’ll work it out, together.

ding ding candy, one of my favourite childhood candy. :) so I bought a pack home.

nothing in particular for this picture, just simple snap this with my phone.

the one who drove us there, thank you Cin.

“Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down.” She is the one who will walk barefoot with me even if there is no bus on the road wtf. Thank you for being such a good friend all these years.

-

For the past month, I have attended two birthday celebrations with my girls. They are from my secondary school. Yes, I’m from girl school, just in case you don’t know.

-

I said it once and I said it all.

:) Thank you.

MARKED & STAMPED

Monday, March 26th, 2012

Finally, I’m here writing about my CNY family trip to USS, Singapore. It’s end of March already but I’m writing about stuffs that happened in January. *shifty-eyes Anyway, here it is. Mom and Sis planned this trip for weeks, and ta-daaa finally, we’re really going somewhere after dunno-how-many-godzilion-years #LOL

The last time we went for a trip was 13 or 14 years ago, to Langkawi, with Dad. Yeap. My family is not rich, therefore my parents had to work literally day and night to keep up with the food business. So, I don’t get to spend much time with them but when I do, I’d make sure that I treasure every single moment with them like there’s no tomorrow. This is our first trip without Dad. I have nothing emotional to write about for this trip because we’re slowly moving on to a different phase in life. So, here it is… PHOTOS!!!!!

001
#1 Twinkle baby, my niece, @ my granny’s place before heading out.

002
#2 this was me in January, with Nini Choco Stick. It’s some kind of local snack that I usually eat when I was in primary school. #memories

003
#3 Finally, after dont-know-how-many-hours-ride, we have reached our hotel, 11@Century. (nothing grand abt this hotel because its not something like high-end hotels, fair and reasonable pricing. so those who doesn’t wanna stay in SG, maybe you can consider this hotel.)

004
#4 Our room… they have clean bathroom, nuffsaid.

#5 my water sign twin-sister wtf. no la, she’s my mom.

005
#6 view from our room.

so we stayed a night in this hotel, and the next morning, we woke up like super early to have breakfast and go to SG by coach.

006
#7 that’s grumpy mother and mad energetic daughter. and ignore the dude on the right, my bro.

007
#8 poof we are here.

008
#9 people mountain people sea. (read in Chinese if you don’t know what it means.)

009
#10 my niece again *high5*

010
#11 the weather was good on that day, just a little hot. this teeshirt was given by my Sis because she can’t fit in. she thought she would be able to wear this when she buy this in KL but no #LOL. I remember one of my friend commented on my fb about this teeshirt, it’s like wearing a bikini outside, but it’s a god damn bra design, not bikini. -_-”

011
#12

012
#13 Sis n’ I

014
#14 Sis “educating” her daughter… as if she knows how to read, a map, yet. #LOL but I must say my niece she can pick things up very fast. see picture below, you’d know what I mean.

013

#35 one of my friend commented on this picture in Instagram “Now, that solved all the mysteries about Eri.” #WTF

and here it is, my favourite, carousel aka merry-go-round.

030
#36 nyahahahaha!!!

#37 one of my secret life goal is to ride on as many carousels as possible. take me to all carousel now because you already know one of my secret life goal wtf

031
#38 Riding on carousel always make me feel like a little girl, all over again. Just like those days when I was once innocent and know nothing about the world outside my own borders.

034
#39 Just only i’m talking about being a little girl again, now I’m showing you a picture I took in Victoria’s Secret, Singapore. LOL. Huge difference. But yeah, how can you not go there when this is like the first Asia VS store. A lil disappointed with the store because they don’t sell any bra lingeries but only perfumes, lotions, body mists, bags and some lace undies which I was not attracted to. #dontknowwhy T_T

035
#40 they had some promotions but i didn’t get anything after staying in the shop for like half an hour. the only item I owned is their Sexy Little Thing Perfume which is my 2nd favorite Perfume.

036
#41 so the sky gets dark, and there was this fountain show @ the Lake of Dream… not my cup of tea but i think it’s pretty cool.. and look at my picture below…

037
#42 -_-? tell me, how many people do you see in this picture? I’ll buy you a drink, promise.

and so the next day, we stopped at MALACCA for Lunch.. we had the lousiest Chicken Rice shop in Malacca, I swear to god that I will never ever go back there again, because when we order our food, it was all cool. and fifteen minutes later, the waiter come and tell us that they have no more cooked chicken left, so they need to cook and we have to wait for it. T___________T? Chicken Rice Shop, but no more Chicken? Are you Kidding me? First time ever encounter such thing.

We were like super hungry, but we had to wait for the chicken to be cooked because they already started serving us with beansprouts and bean curd etc etc… and honestly speaking, the chicken doesn’t taste good, at all. (read my lips, I know you can’t, just pretend you are now reading my lips, the chicken doesn’t taste good, AT ALL.) purrr. no picture of the chicken rice shop because I don’t want to even mention the restaurant’s name here.

038
#43 ignore the dude behind. sis and baby twinkle. <3

039
#44 mom, aunt, sis, baby and me.

That’s the end of my CNY SG post, 3 days trip with the family. These memories are made forever, marked and stamped in heart; the joy and laughter we shared throughout the entire journey, will last for eternity.
